Spring COVID-19 Vaccine
The National Advisory Committee on Immunization has recommended an additional dose of the COVID-19 vaccine this spring for individuals at high risk of severe illness due to COVID-19. This additional dose is recommended if it has been at least three to six months since their last dose.
Those at increased risk include:
- Adults age 65 years and older
- Adult residents of long-term care homes and other group living settings for seniors
- Individuals 6 months of age and older who are moderately to severely immunocompromised (due to underlying medical conditions or treatment)
Eligible members of the Jamat can obtain a vaccination at a pharmacy, public health clinic, or health care provider office. Vaccination appointments can also be booked online.
