Our most recent episode of Artists In Conversation features Canada's National Ballet School Graduate and Three-time Dora Mavor Moore Award nominee, Anisa Tejpar. While growing up in Toronto, Anisa danced and toured with The National Ballet of Canada, and danced with Toronto Dance Theatre as an intern. Today, her long list of career highlights range from guest teaching at Ryerson University to acting as pilot choreographer for Stephen Spielberg's Minority Report. Anisa is Currently a Co-Artistic Director for the Hit & Run Dance Productions Inc.  As an Artistic Director, She has choreographed works for The Rolling Stones, Ferrero Rocher, Telus, Warner Bros, M.A.C. Cosmetics, CTV, PUMA, the Toronto International Film Festival, and the Golden Globe winning feature film Barney's Version.

In her conversation with Jobina Bardai, she discusses her journey as a dancer; from dancing with her parents on the weekends to becoming a full-time dancer, choreographer, and mother. Anisa describes the dance community as "a world where nothing matters, other than your ability to dance" and explains that the diverse and accepting art of dance is especially crucial during troubling times. This interview is a must-watch for any artist or dancer as she covers her tips for processes, mindset, and remaining discipline as a working professional.
