Canadian Ismaili Health Providers’ Network

The Canadian Ismaili Health Providers’ Network (CIHPN) aims to bring together Canadian Ismaili health providers to learn, network and serve our Jamat. In doing so, our priorities include:

  • Providing primary care and mental health support to newly arrived Jamati members and other murids in need of these services;
  • Providing support to newly arrived internationally accredited providers and aspiring students;
  • Connecting global institutions in need with Ismaili health care providers for support; and
  • Providing education and networking opportunities for health care providers across the country.

Below you will find information on how to join the CIHPN, upcoming National and Regional CIHPN events, opportunities to serve, and contact information all in one place.  Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have questions!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Why is my data being collected on REDCAP?

While volunteers have registered with iKEY, CIHPN needs to collect specific data around your professional backgrounds and experiences. As such, the CIHPN uses the REDCAP database to collect necessary information to be able to provide needed services to the Jamat as well as provide you access to specialty-specific updates.

How will my data be used?

The data will be used for communication purposes as well as to identify individuals with specific skill sets based on incoming requests to the Aga Khan Health Board for Canada. On your profile, you can identify if you would like to receive communication and/or have the capacity to provide support at this time. We request that you update your profile regularly.

Is my information confidential? What happens to my data?

Yes, all your information is stored in a secure database (REDCAP) that is only accessible by trained volunteers. We consider the confidentiality and privacy of our CIHPs of utmost importance. We only collect data that is needed.

I don’t have capacity to serve now, should I still register?

Yes, absolutely. Please register and identify that you do not have the capacity to serve currently. You can also identify how you wish to serve.

Can I update my profile?

Yes, you can login in your account on REDCAP to update your profile. Should you experience any difficulties, please contact us at akhbc@iicanada.net.
