The road to Illume starts at home in your own region. It then continues throughout the summer and fall with national events, and then takes us around the world to the Global Encounters Festival 2024 in Dubai.

Here are the dates you need to know:

• March 24 - April 28: Period to register your intent to participate in the regional qualifying events for the Sports Festival and the Performing Arts Festival.
• May – June: Regional qualifying events for Sports & Performing Arts categories.
• July 15: Deadline to register to participate in regional qualifying events for the Visual Arts Festival. All final submission materials due July 22.
• August 31: Deadline to register to participate in regional qualifying events for the Film Festival. All final submission materials due August 31.
• July – September: Qualifying regional events for Visual Arts Festival and Film Festival.
• August 4-7: National Sports Festival and Performing Arts Festival, Hamilton, ON.
• November 11-12: National Film Festival and Visual Arts Gallery, Toronto, ON.
